Glass Etching

Congrats to Lauren Ferguson Moore!

A friend asked what gift I was making for the next bridal shower at church...this glass etching project was already in the works! While this is nothing new for many of you crafting with etching creme, my husband was impressed...even saying he thought it was one of the "neatest" things I've made. Did he miss the glass etched Valentine jars or olive oil bottles I did for Christmas? Hmmm...perhaps it's the  CASSEROLE dish that made a difference!  hehe.

Anyway, I decided with a familiar last name like "Moore" that adding their first names would be helpful, especially at family gatherings or potlucks. Wouldn't this be perfect for one of those casserole themed showers where you bring the recipe, ingredients, and a dish? I definitely plan to do another version of this soon!

For those of you who have seen these before, do you prefer the name on the bottom or side of the dish? Leave a comment for me.

  1. This looks great! I tried doing this the other day and it did not work out so well for me so I will carry on trying till I get it right.

  2. Very nice job and I prefer the names on the sides. Can't see them on the bottom when something is in the pan.
