Owl Canvas

This owl art canvas needs a home...and a name in the bottom half. If you love the Dr. Seuss series, you'll recognize the quote, "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you will go." This would be perfect for a reading center at school or add a child's name and it becomes home decor for their room.

This 12X12 canvas is for sale, $20 for a limited time with local delivery. Email me at Cynthia@WhitePapyrus.com or message me on Facebook if you are interested.

MSU Baby Tub

Tiffany and Jared Ward are expecting a boy and themed his nursery with Mississippi State Bulldogs. Go Dawgs! This gift baby tub filled with diapers, wet wipes and baby items can be used for so many things. Diapers and wet wipes next to a changing table. Tub toys in the bathroom. Books for bedtime. And, it's so cute with the little paw prints next to his name! We're anxiously waiting for Gavin's arrival!

MSU Teacher Sign

This is another teacher door sign, special ordered as a gift for Mississippi State University fan, Julie Moore! I think Bully found my craft paint. ;)

The next project is a 12X12 canvas art. Think OWLS.

Bright Colors!

When I saw the colors in this fabric that Janet Yates put on her classroom door, I excitedly started pulling paper with strong colors for the door sign she ordered. She LOVES purple and pink...that was a given for the background papers. The patterned blue, green, and orange papers easily created a garden of flowers. And, my Cricut cartridge had a layered flower cut just like one in the fabric that I adhered to the sides of this canvas for a little extra detail. She's special ya know. Wink, wink. Add a little bead bling to the bottom and painted basket for another layer of texture...love it!

Teachers really deserve our encouragement, appreciation, and prayers. If you have children in school, find a way to share your appreciation for their teachers this week. A little happy. A note. Something to say you've noticed how hard they work. Don't forget that high school teachers need encouragement too! If your kids are grown, acknowledge someone you know in the teaching profession or send a note to a former teacher. A little time could make a huge difference to those people who are responsible for shaping the minds of future generations.

If you choose to encourage a teacher in some way, please leave a comment here on what you did so others will find encouragement and ideas too! Have a great week!

Teacher Door Sign

This teacher door sign is for Rachel Polk, a high school teacher who is an Auburn fan. Her mother-in-law ordered it as a gift requesting Auburn colors...think this was a nice "high school" version. I'm working on another teacher sign that was special ordered by an elementary teacher to match fabric already on her door. Lots of COLOR, sparkle, and paper flowers!

Red Baby Tub

Every time I personalize one of these metal tubs for babies it makes me smile. Most of the time I get a sneak preview of the nursery and I imagine how the mom might use it as the baby grows...books, toys, or maybe art pencils and paper for the creative child. And, I LOVE the idea of utilizing a gift as part of the shower decor as this group did...diapers and wet wipes never looked so cute! Congratulations to mom-to-be Brooke Light!

Curtain Project

Last week we visited our daughter and son-in-law in Charlotte, NC to celebrate her 27th birthday! It's so exciting to share birthday celebrations with your kids after they leave home!!! Packed next to the heart shaped birthday cupcakes was my sewing machine for a little curtain project in their living room.

You can see the before picture with hubby working on installation in the first photograph and the finished curtains in the next photograph. The disappearing recliner...well, she has ordered a comfy club chair and ottoman so the guys don't have to grieve the loss of their favorite chair. Wink, wink.

Trifle Bowl Etched Design

LOVE this little bird design for the trifle bowl...the right photograph is a wedding gift for Leah Allen. Adding her soon-to-be new last name and the wedding date on the other side personalizes her gift and promises that no one will "accidentally" take home her little bird dish by mistake. This is so adorable and credit goes to www.makeit-loveit.com for the idea.
